Even though TechCrunch would be cool to try to gain venture, it's something you can still do on your own. No matter if you get in or not, just keep focused.

Had one interview, decent feedback... nothing negative from the girl who made the calls. Interested to see who makes it in the finals. I'll be interested more so tomorrow if anyone who just had one interview made it in the top 50.

We had our one interview on the 2nd of August and haven't heard back yet, so I think that means we'll be cheering from the sidelines :-)

@Cool

You're right - hanging out here is kinda therapeutic, and it's great to see that we might be looking at a potential top 50-er in our midst!

@Ed

Completely agree with you, I think we're in very similar circumstances - around two months in, and one interview with Calacanis. It's been great getting some feedback either way, and feeling a part of a global community of entrepreneurs gives us the boost and encouragement that makes work exciting.

@Hugesecret

We're rooting for you!

@all

If you want to read about how our first interview went and compare notes, here tis: http://www.pocketsmith.com/blog/2008/08/04/the-techcrunch-interview/

Good luck, guys :-)

AJ2

You are enthusiasm and strong believe in what is truly unlikely to make sense is your best companion.

If this is who you really are on a daily basis, then I can guarantee you you are a few steps from your success. Kudos.

I saw that a good idea gets you past anything. I have always been told that good people with a good idea will get noticed and get funded. That is my approach.
